With an extension of 200 meters, Cala Salada is characterized by an incredible natural environment and by a very relaxed and picturesque atmosphere.
Right next to the popular San Antonio Bay
Located just 4 kilometres from the centre of the bay of San Antonio, Cala Salada is, together with Cala Gració, one of the most visited and emblematic places in the town of San Antonio. Formed by gravel and fine sand, this cove has become one of the preferred options for nostalgic people, as it has preserved, practically intact, a 100% seafaring essence.
As if this were not enough, Cala Salada also stands out for its natural environment, full of pine groves, which surrounds its more than 200 metres of sandy beach, as well as its turquoise, shallow waters, ideal for a good swim.
Accessible from anywhere in Ibiza
Car, bus or nautical taxi. These are the different options that can be used to reach Cala Salada. If you are at the el hotel Tropicana Ibiza Suites, a very good option is to opt for the car, as you only have to follow the directions north from San Antonio. We recommend that you pay special attention to the part of the road that snakes down a fairly steep slope, which provides access to a small car park with approximately 65 parking spaces.
Cala Ses Fontanelles, a must if you visit Cala Salada
If you like adventure, you must visit, yes or no, the cave of Ses Fontanelles, a place well known among residents and tourists for its original paintings of the Bronze Age. Best of all? It’s right next to Cala Salada! Turn right before you reach the entrance to the cove and continue as far as your car will take you (if you have a 4×4 you will be grateful for it), along the dirt road. Once your car says stop, continue to the cave on foot up the cliff.
Ideal for anchoring with pleasure boats
Although Cala Salada does not stand out for offering a great variety of sports activities, it is a perfect place to anchor all types of recreational boats. In addition, it also has slipway shelters and small mooring docks for direct access from the sea. As for its services,
Another of the peculiarities of Cala Salada is the picturesque stone tower surrounded by dirt roads, which lead to Cala Saladeta, a cala next to Cala Salada and much smaller.
